Bring your enthusiasm for learning and desire to conserve our natural resources, and we’ll help you grow - The base salary range for this position is $62,300 to $87,600. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training._ **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - B.Sc. or M.Sc. in biology, related to ecology, hydrology, wetlands, botany, or equivalent demonstrated experience. - Hold or be eligible for P.Biol. designation for Alberta. Biologist in Training may be considered. - At least 2-5 years of relevant field lead experience in environmental consulting or equivalent. - Proven field skills as a Crew Lead and willingness to work in the field in remote locations for extended periods of time if required. - Proficiency in satellite and aerial imagery interpretation, classification, and delineation of wetlands in Alberta. - Strong skills in identification of wetland vegetation, hydrological indicators, and hydric soils. - Experience using ArcGIS software. - A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract. Ideally, you’ll also have: - Experience or interest in supporting other biophysical study areas such as reclamation, vegetation, wildlife, soils, and/or fisheries field assessments. - R.P.Bio. designation for British Columbia. - Experience classifying and delineating wetlands in Saskatchewan, Manitoba and/or British Columbia. - Experience with remote sensing data interpretation. - At Jacobs, we’re challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world’s most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.
