Food Services Supervisor

This vital role provides support for general kitchen operations (direct and support employees through daily food production, delegate duties, complete shift replacement as required), in-patient nutiriton, and infection control.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION**
Diploma from a recognized Food Service Supervision / Management Program
Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management
Current Food Handler Certificate
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**
Two years institutional food services supervisory experience.
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act responsibilities at a supervisory level.
Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets.
**DESIRED EXPERIENCE**
Experience in nutrition screening.
Familiar with large quantity cooking equipment, food production and inventory control.
**OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS**
Accountable for providing front line patient food services employees with direct supervision, coaching and leadership through day-to-day food service operations in support of the vision, mission and business commitments of Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare.
Possess excellent communication, organization, time management and decision-making skills in the leadership of safe, quality food production and services for patient and non-patient food service customers.
Must have collaborative working approach and required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsible for working together with the supervisory team and manager for continuous quality improvement initiatives and process improvement efficiencies.
Responsible to ensure compliance with approved provincial standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: staff scheduling, maintenance of job routines, training, performance and ability management.
Must be available to work weekends.
Regular and Punctual attendance is a requirement of this position.
As a condition of employment, external hires are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital’s Occupational Health and Safety department.

**Salary**: $32.56-$35.77 per hour
