Maintenance Worker

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment & building systems
- Perform equipment troubleshooting, repairs, modification and upgrades
- Read and interpret schematics and logic controllers
- Supervise maintenance projects and contractors intermittently
- Assist Maintenance Manger handling routine activities and special projects
- Handle repairs independently with a positive, I can do this attitude
- Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures
- Must be accepting of changes in priority of tasks and be flexible enough to be pulled away from one task to preform another
- Must have experience in cleaning, greasing, lubricating industrial equipment
- Facility upkeep and remedies: example: bulb changes, outside compactor cleaning, changing raking systems
- Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
**Experience**:
- Proficiency in English language verbal, and English comprehension for effective communication
- Welding experience required
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment
- Aerial Work Platform & Fall Protection Certification an asset; Confined Space Certification an asset
- Must be willing to preform maintenance/other tasks in all types of environments inside and outside
- Must have experience with various cutting, drilling and grinding tools
- Must have computer literacy
- Must demonstrate safe work ethics and have lock out/tag out training
- 2 - 4 years of previous experience in industrial heavy machine maintenance and facilities maintenance is preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Machine Maintenance: 3 years (preferred)
- Welding: 1 year (required)
