**Title**:Press Bay Supervisor

**Reports To**:Director of Operations

**Summary**

The Press Bay Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, coordination and effective scheduling of workers to meet production targets and quality standards. Responsibilities will include the training of staff in production methods, safety, policies and procedures, as well as the identification and correction of potential work problems and health and safety issues. Through the effective management of targets, goals and production efficiencies, the Supervisor will ensure the ongoing success of the Press Bay. The Supervisor will also assist Team Leads/Lead Hands and Press Operators in troubleshooting and solving problems. Other duties, relevant to the position, will be assigned as required.

**Job Duties**
- Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of workers.
- Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other units.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Provide information for production plans to ensure that production objectives are met.
- Requisition materials and supplies.
- Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policy.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
- Establish methods to meet production and work schedules through the coordination of work activities with other departments.
- Request materials and supplies.
- Prepare various production reports.
- Other duties, relevant to the position, shall be assigned as required.

**Requirements**:

- Secondary School Diploma required.
- Leadership ability and team-building skills to effectively supervise professional and non-professional staff required.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives.
- Able to find new methods and principles and ability to incorporate them into existing practices as needed.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc.
- Strong negotiation and prioritization skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $70,000.00 per year

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Weekend availability
