We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our research team at the mooanalytica Research Group of Dalhousie University, Canada. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of agricultural sciences, data collection, and artificial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct surveys and questionnaires for data collection from farmers, poultry and dairy industry owners, producers, animal caretakers, and industry personnel
- Develop and implement AI algorithms for data analysis and insight generation
- Write scientific publications and reports based on research findings
- Assist in supervising PhD and Master's students
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams
**Qualifications**:
**Required -**
- PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Agricultural Sciences, or a related field
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Experience in survey design and data collection methodologies
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
**Preferred**:
- Experience working with agricultural or livestock data
- Knowledge of agricultural systems and practices
- Familiarity with statistical software packages
- Experience in supervising or mentoring students
