Gottardo Group of Companies is a Developer of office, commercial & industrial properties. The head office is located in Vaughan.

We are seeking an experienced **Site Superintendent for construction of a new Hotel project**:

- Provide overall construction management including design, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager, Subcontractors, Owner, Engineers, and Architects
- Manage work on-site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings, specifications, and safety regulations
- Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower levels and material quantities, and ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
- Advise the Project Manager and senior management of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
- Manage the work activities of direct reports and administrative documentation as required in cooperation with appropriate departments
- Plan and implement schedules, determine manpower levels and material quantities, and ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required
- Site Logistics (layout including trailers, access, & storage, erosion and sediment controls, waste management, etc.)
- Ability to proactively identify technical challenges and solutions to the project structure and envelope working with the Construction Sciences department
- Site office set up (temporary power, water, heating)

**Qualifications**:

- You have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
- Finishing experience is an asset.
- You have a working knowledge of scheduling & project management.
- You have ICI construction experience.
- You have advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, and engineering drawings.
- You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions, and lead a large team to successful completion.
- You have strong scheduling experience with a proven ability to develop, maintain and execute both long-term and short-term schedules.
- Understanding of the Building Code and local by-laws.
- Understanding Prime Contract Requirements.
- Understand types of subcontract agreements (design-build, design-assist, lump sum, contract management, and P3).
