**Overview**
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This position requires a nurturing attitude and the ability to perform various caregiving tasks in a home or assisted living environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Support clients with dementia care by utilizing appropriate communication techniques and activities.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
**Skills**
- Proven experience in caregiving, particularly in home care or assisted living settings.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, including medication administration and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
- Experience with hospice care is a plus, providing comfort during end-of-life stages.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with seniors and individuals with varying needs.
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills are essential for building trust with clients.
- Knowledge of dementia care techniques is highly desirable.
