**Who we are?**
For over 30 years, UNYA has been dedicated to the health and wellbeing of Indigenous youth in Metro Vancouver. We believe that Indigenous youth are the **experts in their own lives** and are committed to providing spaces that are culturally relevant, safe, and empowering.
Our work is grounded in five key philosophies:
- **Trauma-Informed Practice** - Understanding the impact of lived experiences.
- **Two-Eyed Seeing** - Bridging Indigenous and Western knowledge.

Whether through music, digital media, visual arts, storytelling, or land-based teachings, OCM provides a welcoming environment that celebrates Indigenous knowledge and youth-led creativity. OCM staff also work collaboratively with other drop-in programs and play a key role in supporting larger UNYA events—helping to build community, foster strong relationships, and connect youth to a wide network of support. 6. **Collaborate with Indigenous artists, Elders, knowledge keepers, and community leaders** to enhance programming and provide meaningful cultural experiences.
7. **Create a welcoming, non-judgmental space** where youth feel supported and respected.
8. **Work as a team player,** ensuring smooth coordination with other UNYA staff and community partners.
