Ottawa, Canada Invert Full time

**The Company**

Climate change is the defining challenge of our time, and the team at Invert is building innovative tools that empower individuals and businesses alike to tackle the problem head on. We are a team of experienced start-up scalers that have taken ideas from a whiteboard to the New York Stock Exchange, all while maintaining a focus on a rewarding, award-winning team culture. At this early stage of Invert's growth, we're looking for talented people who are passionate about making a difference through their work.

Our company does two key things.

First, we invest in projects that result in carbon credits being created, such as planting a forest or building a machine that sucks CO2 from the air. By selling these credits on to individuals or businesses, we are able to generate revenue that lets us make more investments in projects that reduce or remove CO2, and we continue the cycle

Second, we are creating a place (more specifically, an app) where individuals can go to learn about what they can do themselves to address this giant problem of climate change. We want to help individuals understand their own impact on the world, and give them a chance to support carbon offset projects. We want every individual to be carbon neutral, and we want them to get there in an engaging manner with rich content and community.

**Place of Work**

We work virtually from London to Toronto to Melbourne, with a physical home base office in Ottawa, Canada. Our team meetings are held within EST working hours.

**Our Fit**

We’re strong believers that diversity, equity and inclusion are a key strength and integral to our future success. We want colleagues that can think differently, bring a range of experiences, are creative within their role, and know how to drive towards a team goal. We value both experience and expertise but emphasize capitalizing on the future potential of remarkable people. We’re looking for colleagues who want to take action on climate change and drive our society towards net zero emissions by 2050. We believe in working hard and in being flexible in how we get things done. We believe that working with good and kind people is as important as working with smart people. Our compensation model embodies rewards for performance and we believe everyone in the company should share in the upside of our success. In order to ensure this, we offer equity participation in addition to salary.

**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Director, Marketing, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination, development and execution of Invert’s marketing and communications programs, including monitoring and reporting on expected results. In this role, you will develop strategies and execute campaigns to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and support the scaling of our climate-action offerings across B2B and B2C accounts. Working closely with external and internal stakeholders across all areas of the business, you will craft stories leveraging various mediums and platforms to engage our audiences in taking positive action to create a better climate future for all.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on the identification of marketing and communication needs to support strategic content planning and execution
- Create engaging, public-facing corporate communications and marketing collateral, including key messages, press releases, social media posts, website content, presentations, and more
- Support Sales and Business Services in the creation of marketing and communications collateral to enable sales to Enterprise/B2B
- Coordinate Invert’s participation in industry events, including sponsorship, exhibition, and speaking engagements
- Participate in key planning sessions and serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on marketing and communication activities and objectives
- Identify and track campaign metrics and performance across all platforms - leveraging various tools and analytics - to ensure objectives are being met
- Act as a liaison for incoming media requests and coordinate Invert’s participation in industry publications through pitches and interviews

**The experience we’re looking for**:

- 3+ years of experience in an agency, corporate communications, and/or B2B marketing environment developing and executing externally-facing marketing and communications programs
- Proven experience in developing creative and compelling strategic content across a variety of platforms, including social and traditional media
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and creative skills with the ability to translate industry/audience trends and sentiment into engaging content strategies
- A motivated self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a creative approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver measurable results through prioritization and multitasking
- Comfortable working with all levels of the organizatio
