**Position Title**: Assistant Manager - COWS Whistler **Reports to**: Store Manager - COWS Whistler **Position Type**: Full Time, Permanent **Benefits**: Medical Benefits Eligibility, RSP, Assistance with Work VISAs, Eligible for company-paid ski pass, Paid vacation time, Company Housing Option **Summary of Position**: At COWS, our staff get to work in a fun, fast-paced environment serving Canada's best ice cream The Assistant Manager plays a key role in maintaining this positive and productive work environment where teamwork and mutual respect are the norm. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the Retail Department as well as providing leadership and support to the Ice Cream Department. This involves leading by example in the delivery of excellent customer service, ensuring that everyone is contributing equally to the completion of daily tasks, and conveying a sense of pride in the high-quality products COWS is known for. **Duties Include (but are not limited to)**: - Demonstrating COW WOW Service, defined as "above and beyond care and attention - better than customers would receive anywhere in the world" - Developing a customer-centric culture within the store. - Overseeing the daily duties of staff members (scoopers, retail associates, and supervisors), and ensuring thorough completion of tasks. - Responding to customer or staff concerns with positivity and a desire to solve problems. - Assisting in training of sales and supervisory staff. - Opening and closing the store. - Preparing bank deposits. - Receiving inventory, merchandising new products, and restocking shelves and ice cream dippers. - Preparing and serving menu items. - Processing transactions and handling cash. - Maintaining the high standard for cleanliness in the store and food service area. - Other duties as assigned by the manager. **Qualifications**: - Have a minimum of 2 years food service or retail experience. - Be able to creatively and efficiently solve problems. - Have strong leadership and organizational skills. - Have a sense of humour. - Previous managerial experience would be an asset. **Physical Requirements**: - Bending, lifting up to 30 lbs. - Standing for long periods. - Repetitive motion (scooping ice cream) **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $21.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - Paid time off - RRSP match - Store discount - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Evening shift - Holidays - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Tips
