Controller & ERP Lead (Odoo)

As we continue to scale our manufacturing operations, we’re looking for a smart, process-driven professional to own our ERP (Odoo) platform and bring true controller-level thinking to our financial and operational workflows.

This is a high-impact role where **accuracy, process discipline, and strong systems thinking** are essential.

**The Opportunity**

This role is ideal for someone who:

- Thinks like a **controller**, sees end-to-end processes, and understands how each action impacts the bigger system
- Has strong financial fundamentals (AP/AR, inventory, costing, reconciliations)
- Enjoys building, improving, and owning workflows
- Is systems-oriented and can learn Odoo quickly (Odoo experience is an asset, not a requirement)
- Thrives in a manufacturing environment with clear processes and high standards

This is **not** a bookkeeping role.
It’s a **leadership role** responsible for keeping the entire ERP ecosystem accurate, efficient, and scalable.

**What You’ll Own**

**1. ERP Ownership (Odoo)**
- Serve as TI’s in-house Odoo expert and primary system owner
- Manage, optimize, and maintain all financial + operational workflows
- Ensure accurate flows between purchasing → inventory → manufacturing → QA/QC → invoicing
- Build and continuously improve Odoo processes, dashboards, and user permissions
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with external Odoo partners when required
- Train staff and hold the team accountable for correct Odoo usage

**2. Financial Process Oversight**
- Ensure transactions flow correctly from operations into financials
- Oversee costing logic, landed costs, and inventory valuation
- **Support month-end processes in collaboration with leadership**:

- Ensure clean data, accurate accruals, and proper posting discipline (no shortcuts, no workarounds)
- Maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards

**3. Manufacturing & Operations Support**
- Maintain integrity of BOMs, routings, and production workflows
- Ensure QA/QC documentation is correctly attached and stored within Odoo
- Support production scheduling, material availability checks, and WIP tracking
- Improve processes around receiving, inventory accuracy, and production reporting

**4. Leadership & Continuous Improvement**
- Develop standardized workflows for all users interacting with Odoo
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements across the system
- Provide training, coaching, and support for staff using the platform
- Bring a controller mindset to every process — ensuring the system is accurate, scalable, and reliable

**What You Bring**
- Controller-level mindset (CPA is an asset but not required)
- Experience in accounting, financial operations, or manufacturing finance
- Strong systems thinking — ability to understand workflows end-to-end
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo is an asset; willingness to learn is essential)
- Understanding of inventory, manufacturing, and cost structures
- High accuracy, strong organization, and a bias for process discipline
- Excellent communication skills and ability to train others
- Comfortable working on-site with the operations team
