**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight across long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries as required by federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, and any issues encountered on the road.
- Handle loading and unloading of freight as necessary, including operating forklifts or other heavy equipment when required.
- Ensure proper securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform basic maintenance and automotive repair on the vehicle as needed to ensure optimal performance.

**Skills**
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle maintenance issues.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to tight schedules.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Pay: $9,000.00-$10,000.00 per month

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
