The Security Systems Technician will primarily be responsible to install, and trouble shoot security system components in residential and commercial settings.

**What your Responsibilities are**:

- Perform security alarm installations including cabling, mounting of devices/hardware.
- Install and service electronic security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion alarms and related maintenance.
- Install equipment, run wiring, and program and calibrate equipment.
- Troubleshoot systems, resolve issues for customers and end users
- Plan installations by surveying and evaluating location, identifying installation requirements, and developing an installation plan.
- Verify systems functioning properly by testing equipment, connections, and signals, and identifying and correcting problems.
- Troubleshoot systems, resolve issues for customers and end users.
- Assuring quality control through the completion of all scheduled preventive maintenance calls for assigned customer’s equipment in accordance with the terms of service agreements
- Providing technical and user support by directing and assisting clients in the operation of the products thereby assuring their most efficient use
- Maintaining service vehicle stock of all parts, supplies and equipment. Ensuring that all used stock is diligently recorded on work orders
- Performing product installations, reconfigurations, removals, or relocations as required from time to time as well as site surveys as required
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all clients. Relationship building with clients and prospects for future opportunities.
- Protect organizations ‘values by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following safe practices and keeping security information confidential.

**What your qualifications should be**:

- Minimum five years of experience in security industry (Access control, CCTV, and security systems
- Progressive experience in a technical role within the integrated security or low voltage industry(s) is required.
- Previous experience leading installations at the site level preferred.
- Programming experience preferred for senior positions.
- Vendor Certification in low voltage systems is preferred.
- Valid TQ Certification required.
- Able to handle a physically demanding workload (up to 60 lbs.) which includes heavy lifting, climbing ladders/poles, crawling in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions
- Can work independently
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Background check and security clearance as required
