Fil-Trek Corporation is a leading manufacturer of industrial filtration equipment for customers around the globe. Our products are designed and manufactured at our Cambridge, ON facility.

We are currently looking for an experienced Shop Supervisor - Welding to join our team.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Monitoring the quality of welding work to ensure that it meets industry standards.
- Experience in piping and/or pressure vessel industry is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of ASME code Section VIII is considered an asset.
- Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures, and practices for the workplace.
- Reporting to management about the status of projects, including delays that may occur due to equipment problems or other issues.
- Training new welders in proper welding techniques and safety procedures.
- Reviewing blueprints and other plans to determine how welders will be able to implement them.
- Providing technical assistance to other welders when needed.
- Ensuring that proper safety precautions are taken while welding is being performed.
- Oversee health & safety in the plant.
- Organize training such as forklift, overhead crane, etc.
- Maintaining records of welding activity, including materials used and welders’ qualifications.
- Wage is negotiable based on experience in a weld shop environment.

**Qualifications**
- 5-7 years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years' experience with ERP/MRP software (SAP, Oracle, JobBoss & others).
- Hands on with ownership, initiative, and accountability for assigned responsibility.
- Able to exercise independent judgment and make logical decisions on technical issues.
- Ability to establish positive rapport with individuals at all levels of organization.

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
