# Overview

We are seeking a customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As the first point of contact, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our patrons.

# Duties
- Operate POS systems to handle customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Process payments by cash, credit cards, or automatic debits
- Process lottery purchases and redemptions
- Greet customers, answer their questions, and provide information on products or services
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
- Handle exchanges and returns in a courteous manner
- Receive and put out giftware

# Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cashier or in a similar role is a plus
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers effectively
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team is important
- Organizational skills to maintain a tidy checkout area

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Work days:

- Every Weekend

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
