Carpenter Canada Co. has an immediate opening for a **Shipper **on the first shift (06:00-14:00) at our **Calgary** manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for safe, accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders while adhering to the Company’s guiding principles and value of order..

Carpenter Canada Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the **Shipper, **you will be expected to drive a forklift and load products into trailers ensuring that all paperwork is completed correctly.

Your additional responsibilities as **Shipper** will include:

- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, occupational health and safety.
- Perform pre-use forklift inspection to ensure mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork.
- Adheres to all company's policies and procedures.
- Physically capable to tie down loads properly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work overtime as required.

Skills and Requirements:

- Must be able to operate a forklift to load and unload trailers.
- Completion of high school
- Valid Forklift Certificate.
- 3 years experience operating a forklift;
- 1 - 3 years of shipping experience.
- Must have good oral communication skills and be able to work with others
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Possess a positive, professional attitude
