about this team
The Exit team is responsible for the inventory management of all exit strategies, focusing day to day on exit channels - outlets, hybrids, warehouse sales, saleable damages, donations/debrand. The goal is to support the business in providing a premium brand experience by planning and executing clearance strategies to maximize sales at the highest possible margin.
core responsibilities
**The Manager**: Outlets - Planning & Allocation leads the execution of the Outlet Store Sales & Inventory Strategy across North America. This role sets & manages operational priorities, develops relationships, and collaborates with key cross-functional partners & leaders (up to and including VP level) ensuring goals are met and the Outlet strategy is successfully delivered to stores and guests.
- Lead, manage and develop a team of 2 Planners & 3 Associate Planners
- Lead the Outlet Planning and Allocation process on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis
- Lead the Outlet Sales and Outbound forecasting process collaborating with key cross functional partners to build timely plans and provide insight into any changes
- Collaborate with key cross functional partners around Special projects (for example Aged Stragglers) and New Store Openings / Pop Ups
- Contribute to the creation of the annual Outlet Store Sales & Inventory Strategy
- Deputize for the Director - Exit/Outlet Inventory on Outlet related matters
- Drive positive change within the team, identifying trends & executing on opportunities to move plans, processes and relationships forward

qualifications
- 5+ years of merchandise planning experience in the apparel industry [vertical retailer experience preferred]
- Proven track-record of driving results; demonstration of strong financial & business acumen for inventory management.
- Demonstrates a proactive approach to developing inventory strategies that align with financial objectives.
- Proven ability to work with and lead a cross functional team.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Project management skills are desirable.
- Previous experience with inventory management systems desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and data modeling skills; ability to summarize complex analysis to executive audience
