The Real Estate Division of the Department of Public Works provides a variety of services to all the provincial government Departments, Boards, Agencies, and Commissions.

About Our Opportunity

This position under the Inventory & Supply Chain Section of Real Estate is directly responsible for the Archibus Asset Management (Inventory) Program, including all technical issues, implementing program updates, and training of all users in the Province. This position is the Administrator for the Archibus Asset Management Program and ensuring all tracking and disposal of government assets are done in accordance with the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act.

Annually, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Report is completed by the Asset Management Coordinator for the Minister of Public Works to review and approve, and upon approval, the report is tabled at cabinet. The report contains information pertaining to revenue from government assets and the disposal of government assets throughout the year from government Departments, Agencies, Boards and Commissions.

Qualifications and Experience

As the ideal candidate, you will require high school completion plus post‐secondary training related to the position and 5 years of related experience in Supply Chain; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.

A professional designation/certificate in the supply chain field such as SCMP, SMT, P.Log, CCLP or PSPP is considered an asset.

The ability to operate a forklift is a requirement of this position; an existing forklift certification is considered an asset.

Travel across the province is a requirement of this position; as such, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

As the ideal candidate, you have:

  • A strong commitment to customer service.
  • Experience in managing inventory systems
  • The ability to process a large volume of work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work safely under minimum supervision.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks
