Job Details Description Purpose: This role leads the strategy and delivery of B2B and non-traditional marketing programs globally working closely with the broader Marketing team and Outside Sales, Product and Research & Analytics teams. The goal being to increase brand awareness, consideration and ensure the company reaches and exceeds trade rail guest and revenue targets. They are involved with cross functional and often global projects helping deliver key tactical outcomes. The role has management of cross functional plans and projects such as the Agent Portal, B2B Email program, and the TRACKS training & Specialist program. They assist in managing agency relationships, including a contracted copy writer and creative designers. This individual is responsible for maintaining effective agency relationships and will represent the company through various industry partnerships and events. A working knowledge of the travel trade distribution channel globally is essential to success. Established stakeholder relationships would be a bonus. Key Areas of Accountability: Create and deliver a long-term trade engagement strategy for the Armstrong Collective brands Rocky Mountaineer and Canyon Spirit. Manage comprehensive and multi-faceted trade engagement programs globally, including setting objectives and targets, analysis of data, implementation and monitoring of programs, the measurement, tracking and reporting of results and ROI. Initiatives include: Champion and develop the Agent Portal to be a center of resource and key booking platform for the global travel trade community, in collaboration with the Digital Experience team. Manage all B2B content and communication plans and disseminate through trade channels. Drive the strategy and execution of the B2B email and social media (Rallio) programs, including management and oversight of content plans, copy writing and development of email nurture streams. Marketing and development of our online trade training program, TRACKS and the Rocky Mountaineer and Canyon Spirit Specialist programs. Execute the trade advertising strategy, including oversight of any agency and publishing partners. Manage and deliver trade engagement and agent activations in collaboration with the global Sales Teams. Manage industry partnerships (e.g.., Canadian and US Tourism DMO’s, Airport Authorities, CLIA) to leverage their channels to promote Rocky Mountaineer and Canyon Spirit. MARKETING LEADERSHIP: With Partnership Marketing team, champion the Trade Engagement requirements across the various teams at the organization to drive projects forward. Align with and leverage consumer marketing plans and initiatives to drive awareness and consideration. Working with Digital Experience team, ensure program targets are established, and results are measured and achieved; recommend ways to improve efficiency. Work closely with the Partnership Marketing team and Outside Sales teams to disseminate key global B2B travel trade information and gather information about partners B2B marketing initiatives. Oversee some trade collateral development and production, ensuring brand alignment. Demonstrate strong and collaborative negotiation skills. OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES: Responsible for all aspects of budget preparation, expenditures, monthly monitoring, and year-end accountability. Apply expertise to implement best practices and review processes and procedures to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies. Collaborate with multiple internal teams including Marketing, Sales, Research & Analytics, Product, and I.T. Participate in regular business and market development meetings. Give presentations to the organization, including campaign and project review, procedural changes, strategy, updates. Represent Armstrong Collective at targeted events as required. Qualifications Education/Certifications/Knowledge: University degree, with post-secondary education in marketing or relevant experience Experience: 5+ years’ experience in tourism or travel trade sales and/or B2B marketing Skills: Strong understanding of travel trade and the distribution channel. Proven ability to build a strategic marketing plan.. Proven experience with Project Management. People Management experience is considered an asset. Experience integrating omnichannel digital strategy (including web and email) to drive B2B growth. Experience establishing and reporting on KPIs that drive meaningful results. Experience working with a website content management system. Knowledge of Google Analytics. Ability to write and edit compelling content for email marketing. Experience with account-based marketing would be a plus. Adaptive and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong strategic, critical thinking and analytical skills. Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to travel as required. About You: You are a creative thinker and able to quickly develop solutions to challenges. You enjoy working in a fast-paced and fun team atmosphere. Work Environment: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Corporate Office – Vancouver based; hybrid role with a minimum 3 days / week in the office. Compensation The base salary offered for this role is $92,000 to $110,000 per annum and can vary based on job-related expertise, qualifications, experience and internal equity. Eligible for Armstrong Collective’s discretionary bonus program.
