Lumber Yard Shipping

Responsibilities will include:Safely loading & unloading delivery trucksCompleting all shipping documents prior to departureCommunicating with driver and store staff regarding order statusChecking incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slipsIdentifying & reporting discrepancies such as damages, shortages or incorrect itemsLabeling, sorting and storing special order and stock items in designated locationsAssisting with cycle counts, stock rotation and correcting inaccuraciesMonitoring inventory levels and notifying Home Centre Manager of low stock or damaged goods.Maintaining proper stacking, spacing & yard organizationKeeping products in assigned locations as per yard layoutOperating forklifts safely and efficientlyFollowing company safety policiesPerforming daily equipment inspections and reporting issues immediatelyKeeping yard area clean and organizedAccurate order fulfillment Safe equipment operationsKeeping an organized, clean and efficient yard layoutWe are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:Ability to work independently in a team environmentPositive, professional approach and attitude toward work, strong interpersonal skillsPrevious retail experience would be an assetPrevious shipping/receiving experience would be an assetWorking knowledge of farm/agricultural products and building supplies is an assetAbility to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer serviceSense of urgencyCommitment to cooperative values and principles, strong customer service
