EBC is looking to add a Deputy Quality Director to add to our growing organization The Deputy Quality Director will act as the corporate quality representative for civil and building projects located in Ontario (including the Ottawa office) and British Columbia, ensuring coordination, project startup, quality oversight, and technical support throughout the construction lifecycle.Responsibilities: Representation and CoordinationRepresent the corporate quality department for all projects in Ontario and British ColumbiaCollaborate closely with bid teams and the corporate quality bid manager to: Draft qualificationsPrepare proposalsAssess quality requirements during the estimation phase Project Startup and ImplementationResponsible for identifying and mobilizing quality resources in collaboration with the Quality Director and continuous improvementLead quality startup activities for projectsDevelop quality plans in coordination with construction teamsContribute to the development of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)Collaborate on the creation of checklists with field teamsImplement GED/ACC systems for managing quality deliverables, in partnership with the project services teamTrain construction teams and project quality teams Monitoring and Continuous ImprovementProvide technical and process support to project teamsConduct weekly reporting to the Director of Quality on project progressOrganize, participate in, and manage quality audits for projects in Ontario and British ColumbiaRequirements10–15 years of experience in quality management on construction sites Proven track record in implementing quality plans, ITPs, and managing quality systems throughout the full project lifecycleStrong communication skills with project teams and clientsAbility to manage multiple projects across multiple provincesBilingual (French/English) is an asset or required depending on locationWillingness to travel regularly to British Columbia for varying durations BenefitsCompetitive salary5 weeks of annual vacationFlexible group insurance program upon entryGroup RRSP with employer contribution to a Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan (DPSP)Corporate clothing program upon hiring24-hour access to a virtual doctor (telemedicine)Training and development programsEmployee assistance programDiverse, innovative and stimulating environmentA company built on values of respect, integrity and a job well doneFirm recognized as one of Canada’s Best Managed CompaniesRequirements10–15 years of experience in quality management on construction sites Proven track record in implementing quality plans, ITPs, and managing quality systems throughout the full project lifecycle Strong communication skills with project teams and clients Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple provinces Bilingual (French/English) is an asset or required depending on location Willingness to travel regularly to British Columbia for varying durations
