Senior Warehouse Supervisor (Mon-Fri, 4am-12pm) Brampton, Canada Full Time 29149 mail_outline Get future jobs matching this search or Job Description Responsibilities Position Summary: The role of a Senior Warehouse Supervisor leads and supports the warehouse operations for a Canada Distribution Centre. In this 24-7 multi-temp environment, this position is responsible for achieving safety, service and finance goals, through continuous improvement initiatives, innovation and through leadership of the warehouse supervisory team and warehouse employees. Salary Range $87,000 to $97,000 annually Transparency in the use of AI Our recruitment process may utilize artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled tools, such as virtual assistant, to support candidates in exploring job opportunities, initiating applications, and obtaining answers to common questions. All employment decisions are made by human reviewers Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Operations: Develop and administer cost effective operational schedules approx. 3-4 times per year On-going warehouse employee/inventory control/supervisor training Responsible to ensure that department achieves operational goals (monthly, quarterly, yearly basis) Financial Responsibilities: Monitor and control variable departmental costs on a daily/weekly basis Review and approval of weekly payroll Leadership, Morale, Relationships and Communications Act as a Leader in order to achieve Martin Brower of Canadas Goals and Objectives Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive attitude Foster an environment of positive employee relations and employee involvement Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the union Chairperson and Stewards Safety Responsible for the safety of all employees and visitors through compliance of Martin Browers Health & Safety policies and provincial legislation Investigation of accidents and incidents to ensure all reporting is completed Develop and administer safe warehouse training programs Ensure department recognizes and operates in an environmentally competent manner Employee Management: Responsible for the hiring of Warehouse employees Direct and monitor employees to ensure quality standards are achieved for all goods shipped and received Oversee labour relations by managing grievance procedures, discipline, employee concerns, etc., within the parameters of the collective agreement Facility & Equipment: Ensure compliance with industry, company and sanitation standards, including making sure physical plant and warehouse equipment is free from hazards and meets legislated requirements Ensure the operations follow all Safe Food for Canadians Regulations (SFCR), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and Good Warehouse Practices (GWP)/Good Drivers Practices (GDP) for transport rules and regulations Other projects or duties as assigned Qualifications Required Skills and Experience: 3-5 years of management experience in a warehouse environment Bachelors Degree, preferably in logistics/warehousing or related field Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of Microsoft office Willing to work any shift and any schedule due to our 24/7 environment This position must pass a post-offer background check Preferred Skills and Experience: Food distribution experience Familiarity with working within a unionized environment
