Job DescriptionCEDA is currently looking for a Junior Leak Seal Technician to join our team in Fort McMurray They will work in our highly skilled and continually expanding area of Leak Repair. This job is right for you if you’re mechanically inclined, enthusiastic about learning a new trade and not afraid to work in tough work environments.No accommodation or travel would be provided.What we offerMonday to Friday shift schedule with opportunity for overtimeFull time, year round work with opportunity for growth within the companyExcellent benefits and matching pension contributions starting on your first dayEmployer paid Extended Health Care (100% drug coverage), Dental (100% Basic services coverage), and Annual Health & Wellness Spending AccountKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesStart your apprenticeship learning new skills every day such as:Seal leaks and repair piping systems and vesselsCorrosion protection repairLine freezeHot tapControl boltTest and pipe isolationsCold cuttingWork safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labour intensive capacityClimb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your backLeave the job site in better condition that when we got there. Clean, safe and job done.Complete required paperwork for projects and jobsRole Specifications0-2 years’ experience with a trade such as millwright, welder, pipefitter, carpenterFamiliarity of leak sealing is an asset but not required – we will train youClass 5 license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 yearsWork outdoors in harsh weather conditionsAble to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testPersonal CharacteristicsYou’ve always been mechanically inclined and are happiest working with your handsYou can use any hand tool and are comfortable with all air toolsFitness isn’t a concern, you can climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs regularlyYou’re open to any and all schedules – overtime, on call and weekend work aren’t a concernAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
