2025/26 Spring/Summer Term, Course-Based Contract Opportunities, B.A/B.Ed Integrated Program – PENT Indigenous Teacher EducationPENT is seeking qualified, Contract Academic Staff to teach the following courses during the Spring/Summer session of 2026. The instructor will be responsible for content delivery with expectations consistent with offerings of this course within the appropriate department. Qualified candidates must possess strong teaching, communication and organizational skills, and demonstrate evidence of teaching effectiveness. 15.153 – Medicinal Plants – June 29-July 23 – 1:30 – 4:00 PM Plants with medicinal properties will be described and details given for identification, distribution, cultivation, active constituents, and preparation. Plants will be organized by body systems affected. A selection of representative plants globally will be combined with an emphasis on species found in our region. Plants that are poisonous if ingested or that cause irritation on contact will be outlined, as well as stimulants and narcotics. 62.091 – Core Math – May 4 – June 11 – 5:00 – 7:30 PM This course is intended for students who are conscious of deficiencies in their mathematical training and who wish an opportunity to remedy these before enrolling in other courses in mathematics, computer science, or physical sciences. Topics studied include rational expressions and equations, radical expressions and equations, functions, quadratic equations and functions, trigonometric functions and equations, exponential and logarithmic functions and equations, solving systems of equations. Qualifications: Applicants should hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in an area related to the topic of instruction.
