Role: Technical Quoting SpecialistLocation: Milton, ONSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PMCompensation: 49,920–$60,000 depending on experience Benefits: Health, dental, and vision (40/60 cost-shared) + RRSP matching up to 4% (max $4,000)About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Technical Quoting Specialist to join a growing manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for someone with a manufacturing background who enjoys working with technical products, preparing accurate quotations, and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Quality teams.The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing RFQs, developing pricing and quotations, supporting customers with technical solutions, and promoting core product lines.Must-Have Requirements1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (distribution-only backgrounds will not be considered)Strong mathematical ability, including imperial and metric conversionsHands-on experience with pricing, quotations, and cost calculationsProven experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Production, Quality, and customersExperience using ERP systems (JobBOSS is a strong asset)A proactive communicator who seeks clarification to ensure quote accuracyAbility to promote products and identify upselling opportunitiesPreferred QualificationsOntario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent)Sales certificate or equivalent experience considered an assetExperience in conveyor belting or related manufacturing industries is an assetProficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to interpret technical drawingsKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an assetStrong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skillsKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare and issue accurate quotes to customers and sales representativesReview RFQs and recommend optimal technical solutions based on application needsCreate part numbers, BOMs, and routing in the ERP systemPerform hands-on pricing, costing, and quotation calculationsFollow up on quotes and track them through to order conversionSource and obtain material quotes from vendors for custom productsGenerate reports on quotes processed, won, and gapsCommunicate clearly with customers regarding product composition and specificationsWork closely with Production and Quality teams on specifications, feasibility, and customer requirementsAssist with customer quality inquiries and investigations when requiredMaintain customer records and ongoing technical product knowledgeParticipate in hands-on learning within the production environmentSupport product promotion and upselling initiativesTrack performance using defined KPIsOther duties as requiredDisclaimer: This is currently for an active job opportunity.
