The Opportunity: The Utilities Technologist - Water is responsible for the coordination of a variety of programs, projects and activities in the Environmental Planning Section. This position prepares and administers various procurement activities and also performs a variety of administrative activities. As our preferred candidate, you will have: Diploma in Civil or Environmental Engineering Technology.Registered as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Applied Science Technologist with The Association of Science & Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).Three years’ experience in municipal public works environment with a focus on Project & infrastructure management.One-year computerized drafting experience.Valid class 5 Alberta driver’s license.Mature open communication skillsGood computer skills including Word processing and Excel spreadsheets.Ability to work independently. Affiliation: Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 417 Remuneration: $48.05 to $50.58 per hour. (2025 Rates) Hours of Work: 75 hours biweekly, Monday to Friday.
