Recreation Team Members assist our residents by the planning and implementing programs that contribute to a resident’s holistic health care goals, as outlined in Care Plans (including RAI MDS-Raps, Coding and Activities Initial Assessment), by encouraging physical, emotional, spiritual, social and cognitive growth for residents. To be successful as our new Recreation Team Member, you will: Be enrolled in/completed diploma or degree recreation/leisure studies and/or gerontology from a community college or university. Be excited by our objectives, our Village philosophy and the family values that shape all aspects of life in a Schlegel Village. Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members. It would be an asset if our new Recreation Team Member has: Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individual’s health. Knowledge of recreational therapy practices, methods, techniques and opportunities to improve resident’s well-being and holistic health.
