Why Chartright:Make an Impact: Play a crucial role in shaping the future of a rapidly growing company in an exciting and dynamic industryJoin a Winning Team: Be part of a talented, people-focused team committed to delivering exceptional serviceDrive Change: Contribute to our ongoing transformation and growth, using your unique skills to achieve tangible resultsCareer Growth: Access unparalleled opportunities for both personal and professional developmentCompetitive Benefits: Enjoy a competitive compensation package, including 100% company-paid extended health and dental coverageEmployee Perks: We offer a variety of partnerships, offering discounts for employees and their familiesPlan for the Future: Benefit from our generous RRSP/DPSP matching programWhat YOU will do:Maintain aircraft in accordance with all manufacturers and company recommendations and regulationsEnsure proper completion of all heavy maintenance tasks on aircraft Inspect, assess, and assist in repairs and modifications to heavy maintenance aircraft structures, systems, and equipment in a timely manner Dismantle and assemble aircraft systems for repair and overhaulTroubleshoot aircraft defects and carry out corrective actionResponsible for ordering parts during the inspection phase Remove, install, and functionally test aircraft componentsEnsure that all maintenance activities are controlled on aircraft that are receiving maintenance within the company’s facilities and ensure that all technical records are originated and retained with respect to all inspections and maintenance functionsComplete records of work done to sustain an accurate record system which includes updating the workflow tracking system daily and approving time sheets for work orders Provide ongoing support, mentorship and development to Heavy Maintenance AME Apprentice staff to uphold a high standard of maintenance Perform work in accordance with all Transport Canada guidelinesEnsure that approved and calibrated equipment and materials are utilized, upholding a high standard of workmanship As a dedicated Heavy Maintenance AME, you may be assigned additional responsibilities or other duties to support operational and business requirements Work in compliance with all Administrative, Health & Safety policies and procedures as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies.What you bring:A valid Canadian AME M2 licenseExperience in aircraft periodic inspections and heavy inspectionsMust be able to read, understand and interpret technical publications, maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical drawings and blueprintsDiagnostic skills requiring sound knowledge of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, aircraft structures and basic applied mechanicsCapable of performing hands-on duties such as disassembling aircraft systems, removal of defective components and installing replacement parts, components and structuresExperience performing a large variety of tasks relating to any aspects of aircraft maintenanceHighly self-motivated individual with excellent organizational and communication skillsAbility to follow instructions and problem-solvingFlexible and adaptableAbility to work autonomously Adapt and learn new technologies quicklyProfessional, ethical and committed to excellenceStrong capacity to learn, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlinesTechnical TC-approved aircraft type training on Chartright managed fleet is considered to be a highly desirable assetOther RequirementsMust qualify for a RAIC and AVOP passEndorsements preferred Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license with a clean driver abstractMust be able to work overtime, weekends and shiftwork based on workload schedules with short notice at timesOccasional travel may be required
