Enterprise Architect Back to All Jobs [social_share] Our client requires an architect to lead the design and governance of Alberta Courts’ technology ecosystem. The role involves defining enterprise architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with strategic vision and standards, and delivering integrated, cost-effective solutions across systems, services, and infrastructure. Resource will follow a hybrid model, which may include a minimum of three days in the office, typically Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one other scheduled day, and must be available to be on-site when requested for meetings. Work must be done from within Alberta, due to network and data security issues. Resource is responsible to pay for travel to on-site meetings. Edmonton, Alberta (Hybrid within Alberta) Responsibilities Duties Include: Develop and Maintain Enterprise Architecture (EA) Frameworks Align Technology with Business Strategy Assess Current State Architecture and Create Target State Architectures Guide Large-Scale Transformation Projects Set Standards, Principles, and Governance Evaluate and Recommend Technologies Collaborate with Stakeholders Model Business Processes and Capabilities Risk and Security Management Support Solution Architects and Engineering Teams Cost Optimization and Technical Debt Management Mandatory Requirements Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study. Proposed resource has agreed to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance including a credit check prior to commencement. Certification in The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). 8 years’ demonstrated experience leading cross-functional agile product teams, providing architectural direction, and mentoring developers and technical leads. 5 years’ experience architecting, managing, and maintaining Azure Red Hat OpenShift clusters. 8 years’ experience identifying and assessing requirements within multiple architecture domains e.g. business, application, technology, data/information, security, and privacy. 7 years’ experience in documenting application architectures in an enterprise IT environment (preference for public sector) 7 years’ experience in planning, designing, implementing and supporting platform solutions in an enterprise IT environment (preferably public sector or comparable complexity) 8 years’ experience providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presentations of ideas and solutions. Desirable Requirements 5 years’ collaborating with data architects, engineers and analysts to design and optimize cloud architecture and services. 5 years’ experience in contributing or developing application architecture standards and guidelines. 5 years’ experience working as an application architect designing or maintaining solutions that use enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) hub architecture registries. 5 years’ experience working as an application architect developing a solution using amCharts charting framework in an enterprise IT environment (preferably public sector or comparable complexity) 5 years’ experience working as an application architect developing mobile solutions in an enterprise IT environment) 5 years’ experience working with Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top Ten Web Application Security Flaws.
