Our client, a well-established production facility serving growers and consumers, is known for maintaining efficient operations and high safety standards. We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join their team 35 minutes outside of the Cornwall area.What We Offer:Salary: $23.27 hourly to start. Working Hours: 1st shift 7am-530pm (training and regular shift) 2nd shift 5pm-330am (regular shift) Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available upon permanent hire.What You’ll Do:Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials, packaging, bulk soil, and finished products throughout the facility. Efficiently load and unload trucks and trailers, supplying production lines with materials and removing waste or finished goods. Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and product locations. Conduct daily equipment inspections and promptly report any defects or maintenance needs. Strictly follow all company and regulatory safety procedures (WHMIS, PPE, forklift safety, lockout/tagout, etc.). Keep work areas clean and organized, including outdoor yards, warehouses, and loading docks. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and truck drivers, and participate in regular training and safety meetings.What We’re Looking For:Valid forklift operator certification (counterbalance, sit-down, off-road as applicable) required. Experience in manufacturing, soil, agriculture, or a related industrial environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is considered an asset. Able to regularly lift up to 25 kg (55lbs) and perform physical tasks in a demanding environment. Strong attention to detail and a proven commitment to safety practices. Capable of working independently and as part of a team, with basic math and record-keeping skills. Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends or overtime, with exposure to dust, outdoor weather, noise, large equipment, and bulk soil materials.Background Check and Reliable transportation as the site is 35 minutes outside of Cornwall.Our team is eager to connect with candidates who meet the job requirements.
