We are committed to transforming how we do our work, advancing Reconciliation through conservation, and working with Indigenous Peoples in meaningful, respectful, and supportive ways.Position SummaryThe Nature Conservancy of Canada Atlantic Region is seeking an individual to fill the position of Assistant Development & Communications.The Assistant Development & Communications will be responsible for updating information in the Raiser's Edge (RE) database to generate accurate queries, providing administrative support for the entire Development Department, and participating in the coordination and organization of recognition and fundraising events and activities in line with NCC's mission.Key ResponsibilitiesInbox and Calendar management- 10%Draft emails, manage calendar for the Director of Development and CommunicationsSupport scheduling and administration for the Atlantic Development teamManagement of Raiser's Edge (RE) database - 30%:Maintain database.Keep database up to date. Record, in the appropriate RE files, actions already taken or to be taken;Track donations received;Carry out queries to enable rigorous analysis of the information contained in the database, which can be used for a number of Development Department initiatives;Archive funding requests;Donor recognition and outreach – 20%Collaborate in the preparation of solicitation and recognition documents (thank-you letters, follow-up reports, etc.);Manage administrative aspects of donation follow-up (processing of forms, mailing and/or e-mailing of thank-you letters and donation receipts, etc.);Event organization and communications support - 20%In collaboration with members of the Development and Communications team, support the organization of various events such as: site visits, regional campaigns, brand outreach, or other events with partners;Generate invitation lists for various events.Manage e-mailing and mailing of invitations.Support Communications Manager as needed.Other – 20%Perform all other related duties as assigned by the Director of Development and CommunicationsPosition RequirementsAbility to take on multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines;Ability to handle and manage highly confidential information;Excellent customer service skills;High level of attention to detail, intellectual rigor, attention to detail and accuracyKnowledge of the basic rules and sequences involved in organizing an event;Strong team spirit;Curiosity, willingness to learnAppreciation of the Nature Conservancy of Canada's mission and willingness to learn more about it;Interest and openness to equity, diversity and inclusion in internal and external tasks.Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPointKnowledge of Raiser's Edge or a similar fundraising databaseKnowledge of fundraisingApplication DeadlineFebruary 11, 2026 | 11:59pm EST, 9:59pm Mountain Time, 8:59pm Pacific Time, 10:50pm CST, 00:59 am +1 ASTPlease include a cover letter with your application.At NCC, we're committed to providing a healthy, safe, barrier free and inclusive, workplace, where respect and diversity are recognized assets.
