Our corporate culture, which is characterized by passion, cooperation, and the drive to move things forward, has allowed us to offer 200 internal promotions to our Canadian employees in recent years.YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM: As an Electro- Mechanical Technician in our MaintainanceTeam, it will be your responsibility to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment and optimize operations.APPLY and JOIN our dynamic team in a fascinating high-tech environment facing new and exciting challenges daily.Your role in our team:Perform preventative maintenance and unplanned electrical and mechanical repairsElectrically and mechanically maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated equipmentPerform planned maintenance on automated cranes, conveyors, and specialty equipmentProficiency in using basic hand and power tools to perform repairsComplete electrical and mechanical root cause analysis, fault finding and diagnosis, as well as recovery and resolutionAnalysis of component failures and single point of failure prevention and recurrences using system informationEstablish and improve inspection methods and component or process improvements through continues improvement programRead and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawingsResponsible for system performance monitoring and operational statusCollaborate with other technicians on mechanical and electrical problemsUse Witron’s Computerized Management System for shift cross overs, tracking parts, and completing work ordersUnderstand and follow site specific protocols and escalation proceduresPerform maintenance as per structured maintenance scheduleDocument and complete planned repairs and maintenance activitiesInspect, repair, and replace electrical and mechanical wear and spare parts inclusive of all set-ups and calibrationsPerform maintenance related cleaning of equipment and provide support to equipment operatorsCompliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety programOther duties as assignedIdeal candidate profile:2-3 year degree or diploma in Electromechanical Engineering technology or equivalent OR Red seal endorsement in Electrical 442A/ 309A / 5th year Industrial Electrician apprentice OR Red Seal endorsement in Industrial Millwright or final year Industrial Millwright apprenticeTraining or certification in PLC programming and troubleshootingMinimum 3-5 years’ experience in an industrial automation environment or manufacturing with both mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting and repair including motors, gearboxes, chains, bearings, shafts, sprockets, gears, belts, etc.Rigging and hoisting experience of loads up to 1 tonExperienced and comfortable working with AC voltages up to 480V and controls voltage of 24VFamiliar and adaptability to the 5S systemWelding experience considered an assetPhysically able to lift 25kg, climb ladders and cranes, work at heights exceeding 30 meters, work in conditions of +5C to -28C, with proper training and personal protective equipment (PPE) providedFlexibility in working hours between days, afternoons, and nights (including weekends)Excellent computer literacy including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Highly motivated, proactive, and willingness to take on new challenges and tasksComfortable working in fast paced, deadline driven environmentMust be meticulous and able to work independently and safelyWillingness to travel to other sites for trainingNight shifts (9pm - 7am)4 shifts of 10 hoursAble to work on workdays, afternoon, evenings, weekends, holidays or overtime as required to business needsWorking at height of more than 30 metres Comfortable to work in a cold environement of up to environment (-28C)Pay Rate:27/hr to 39/hr NOTE: This description is not exhaustive.
