They’re Service Stars Aramark Canada is offering enthusiastic individuals committed to providing exceptional customer service the opportunity to join the Dalhousie Food Services team as Residence Dining Hall Food Service WorkersJob ResponsibilitiesAssures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customersEducate customers on menu items, daily features, dining hall eventsMaintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work areaUses tools and equipment not limited to knives, pots, pans, equipment and appliancesOrganize workplace and schedule productionProperly store products and maintain product inventoryFollow recipes using proper portion control, presentation of finished product, and use of convenience foodsClear communication with team members, supervisors, and managementPrepare foods including but not limited to herbs, spices, produce, cheese, grains, seeds, alternative proteinsPrepare condiments, preserves, and dressingsStock and merchandise shelves, cereal and bread bar, salad bar, and coolersMay wash and sanitize component dishes and utensilsRecord temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning logAdhere to all Aramark policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and food safetyMay perform other job duties as requiredQualificationsExperience in the restaurant/food service industry considered an assetStrong customer service skillsAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamMust be flexible, as evening and weekend work is required This is a unionized position with SEIU Local 2.
