Visit us today and check out www.novascotia.com to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Manager, the 4th Class Engineer troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs facility infrastructure equipment and carries out maintenance and repair work as directed by the Chief or their designate. This position is responsible for all building operations and maintenance aspects of the facility infrastructure, and the operation and monitoring of the boiler and all associated systems and equipment following the Nova Scotia Boiler & Pressure Equipment Regulations. This position may be required to complete general maintenance tasks as required throughout the facility. In special circumstances where approved. This position may be required to temporarily perform duties of a position with a higher-class Power engineer license to ensure coverage. Travel within the zone or other zones as needed. Other duties as required.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Fourth Class Standardized Power Engineers certificateKnowledge of NS Power Engineering Regulations, Pressure Vessel Act and related CSA and ASME codesMust be able to work independentlyIn depth knowledge of building mechanical systems, including medical gas/vacuum systemsAbility to deal with multiple tasks and demandsComputer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, Computerized Maintenance Management System, etcTravel to other sites may be requiredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursPermanent full-time / 100% /  75 hours biweekly Compensation and Benefits$31.75 - $32.29 HourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. Once You've AppliedThank you for your interest in this position.
