Their continued growth has created an opportunity for experienced Senior Associates to join the Assurance team and work closely with Managers and Partners on complex and rewarding engagements.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on assurance work, values mentorship and career development, and wants to be part of a firm that is investing in its people and long term leadership pipeline.The RoleAs a Senior Associate in Assurance and Accounting, you will be involved in audit and review engagements from planning through completion while also supporting a range of tax compliance work. You will work directly with clients across multiple industries and play an active role in mentoring junior staff.The position is primarily in office, with the expectation of five days onsite during busy season and the opportunity for limited work from home flexibility following probation.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute audit and review engagements from planning through completionPrepare and review working paper files, financial statements, and related documentation in CaseWarePrepare corporate, personal, partnership, and trust tax returns including related schedules and filingsAssist with risk assessments, materiality calculations, and engagement planningApply professional accounting and assurance standards across client filesProvide guidance and on the job coaching to junior staff membersManage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and maintaining qualityCommunicate directly with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth engagement deliveryStay current on accounting standards, assurance requirements, and tax legislationAbout YouCPA designation requiredTwo to three years of Canadian public accounting experienceStrong experience with audit and review engagementsWorking knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, and other applicable frameworksExperience with tax compliance including corporate and personal returnsProficiency with CaseWare and Microsoft ExcelStrong communication skills and a collaborative mindsetHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesCompensation and BenefitsSalary range of $75,000 to $100,000 based on experienceAnnual performance bonusThree plus weeks of vacationEducation and professional development supportClear path for growth and advancement within the firmExposure to complex and interesting clients across multiple industriesSupportive team culture with strong mentorshipIf you are a public accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career with a firm that values growth, quality, and people, this is an excellent opportunity to explore.
