This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction in the following face-to-face course: Winter Semester (January to April 2026)GITK 102: Introduction to Gitksanimx Language Conversation II (1 section) Qualifications A minimum of both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in First Nations Studies along with proficiency in Gitxsan language (confirmed by Gitxsan language authority). A combination of language certification and/or teaching experience teaching Gitxsan language may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate experience with experiential teaching formats. Required attributes/experience includes:Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching with the ability to inspire and mentor learners Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous communities and/or strong ties with Indigenous communitiesKnowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroomExcellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skillsStrong organizational and problem-solving skills
