We continue to drive industry innovation as we shape the future of training.Role OverviewWe are seeking six (6) Simulator Technicians to join our team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will support the daily operation, maintenance, and reliability of full‑flight simulation training devices.The Simulator Technician performs pre‑ and post‑flight activities, conducts visual alignments, runs Qualification Test Guides (QTGs), assists in troubleshooting, and completes scheduled preventive maintenance. This is a hands‑on technical position ideal for individuals who are passionate about aviation, simulation systems, electronics, and problem‑solving.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on simulators and associated systemsAssist with diagnosing and correcting simulator system issuesUse maintenance management systems to track all maintenance activitiesComplete all required technical trainingConduct pre‑flight and post‑flight activities on assigned simulatorsPerform basic visual alignmentsRun automatic Qualification Test Guides (QTGs)Support refurbishment and hardware modification projectsFollow CAE’s Quality Management System requirementsProvide responsive customer service to instructors and traineesMaintain simulator cleanliness and operational readinessExecute logistics tasks including parts receiving, repair, testing, and validationComplete administrative tasks as requiredSupport technical services team activities as assignedMandatory QualificationsCompletion of a formal avionics/electro‑mechanical technology program OR 3–5 years equivalent experience specifically in flight simulator, motion‑platform, or aerospace‑grade test system maintenance1 to 3 years of flight simulator experience, including motion platform, flight control systems, avionics systems, and visual systemsFamiliarity with diagnostic and calibration tools (e.g., NI LabVIEW, MATLAB)Ability to interpret system prints and schematicsSimulation Systems knowledge including motion system, electromechanical systems and interphase system.Knowledge of Visual Systems including ACE Clutter, Visual Main UI, Theotalk, ANDS, GNDBS.Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentationProficiency in soldering and precision electronic repairSkilled in electronic troubleshooting and circuit board repair (SMT and through‑hole)Specialized Skills considered as an asset Experience supporting, tuning, and maintaining motion, control, and visual platforms in full‑flight simulatorsAbility to perform diagnostics, sensor alignment, and calibration using advanced test equipmentFamiliarity with real‑time simulator operations, documentation, and qualification processesExperience with specialized software platforms supporting flight simulation, visual systems, motion/control, and troubleshooting applicationsHow to ApplyApply online using the following link: Simulator Technician 118972 For questions, contact: CAECarrieres‑Please include “Simulator Technician – Requisition 118972” in the email subject line.Equal Opportunity EmployerCAE is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse, inclusive, and accessible workplace.
