What role you will play in our teamTrades Summer student positions available at Imperial Oil located in Cold Lake Alberta. You will be trained as a member of our maintenance staff to gain practical hands on experience with maintenance and safety procedures. On the job experience will be supplemented with additional related formal training. You will be required to work on your own at times after proper training is provided. Frequent driving on gravel roads is a component of this job. So a valid drivers license is a requirement and driving on gravel will be an asset but not a mandatory requirement.This is an excellent opportunity for a millwright, electrical or instrumentation person who is currently enrolled in technical training environment. What you will do Abiding by all safety rules and standards, reporting hazards and holding responsibility for the safe operation of your assigned dutiesParticipating in safety programs and attending training sessions, along with completing self-development coursesExecuting specific activities defined within the preventative maintenance program About you Skills and Qualifications Currently enrolled in technical training in Millwrighting, Instrumentation or Electrical Preferred Qualifications/ Experience Valid driver’s license and good driving recordAble to work in a team environmentAble to work in a shiftAble to communicate effectively with team membersTo be considered for employment, your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted.
