How you will make a difference: The is responsible for troubleshooting issues, providing off hours system support, assisting with the system administration/data security, and maintenance of the AS applications and related Windows applications. Additional technical support responsibilities related to skill set may also be required. The main function of this job is to support the AS System and all applications associated to Island Pacific System. Other functions include supporting the non-AS systems. What You’ll Do: · Provide technical assistance to users and assist in troubleshooting Island Pacific system and applications associated to Island Pacific. · Assist in the operational maintenance and application system integrity on IBM iSeries (AS) platform. · Document support interactions with end users and provide recommendations for improvement of the processes. · Provide support in maintaining system development standards and procedures. · Assist in the evaluation of the operational efficiency of Information technology systems including protection of information data. · Assist in maintaining data protection, including identification, reporting, and providing recommendations in the prevention of information security violations. · Identify problems and recommend changes and upgrades. · Participate in developing training programs for staff on new systems. · Provide off hours support for systems under area of responsibilities What You’ll Need: · BA or BS Degree in Computer Science or related filed such as Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience · 6+ years’ experience in a related field · Knowledge of IBMi (AS) and RPGLE/SQLRPGLE programming language · Experience in supporting system applications on the IBMi/AS platform.
