Showcase is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager in Training to help lead our retail store in Woodgrove Centre. Showcase is a national retailer with 150 bricks-and-mortar stores in top malls throughout Canada and the USA. Our stores offer emerging trendy products from social media, such as health, beauty, home, toys, tech, and novelty food. Our top products include Pokemon trading cards, Squishmallows, freeze-dried candy, Prime Hydration drinks, and more. Our target demographic is Gen Z tweens and teens, as well as their parents. Showcase is known as a trendy and disruptive retailer with novel and unique products. The in-store experience is fun and interactive where you can "try it before you buy it".

As Manager in Training, you will be responsible with helping lead team of sales associates, ensuring that the store runs smoothly and profitably, and providing excellent customer service. You will report directly to the Store Manager and be responsible for working with manager to achieve sales goals and maximizing profitability. You will be responsible for helping with training, coaching and developing a high-performing team of sales associates who are knowledgeable about our products, engage with our customers and deliver an exceptional in-store experience.

Responsibilities:

 Assist in Managing day-to-day store operations and achieve sales targets
Create a positive and engaging environment for both customers and associates
Analyze sales and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and sales, including social media and community outreach programs
Ensure that the store is visually appealing and merchandised to showcase our products effectively
Monitor inventory levels and work with the Store and District Manager to manage inventory
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Requirements:

At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maximizing profitability
Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
Knowledge of social media and digital marketing trends
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Experience in the health, beauty, home, toys, tech or food industry is a plus
