For over 50 years we have provided solutions to quality, cost and production challenges for market-leading customers in the automotive, heavy duty and off-highway vehicles, tools and hardware, electronics and cutlery.We are looking for a Design Engineering to join our team If you are a Mechanical Engineer with tool designing experience and is looking for a challenge, we want to meet with youbackground and working knowledge and experience of tooling, we want to talk to youPrecision Resource offers:Benefits package including health, dental, life and CIRRSP/DPSP with match Annual bonus based on division profitabilityVacation and flexible paid holidaysWellness and Employee Assistance ProgramsTuition reimbursement and paid trainingWork with an established team of long-term employeesResponsibilities:Create drawings for manufacturing of tooling components complete with dimensions and tolerances according to ISO systemEvaluate fit and function in existing tools, perform tolerance stack‑ups, GD&T interpretation, and precision fit calculations utilizing ISO System of Limits and Fits.Assign correct fit for assemblies, material and tolerances for tooling components Design manufacturing process for tooling componentsWork with outsource suppliersWork with tool makers to improve tools performance and service Design jigs and fixturesDemonstrate initiative to improve productivity, profitability, efficiency and safety in your processes Attend all company specified training as required Participate in continual improvementQualifications:Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years minimum of mechanical engineering and design experience in a manufacturing settingExperience using computer engineering applications with a strong emphasis on utilizing SolidworksExperience with PDM pro or other files management system2 years minimum experience with press stamping tools including design, manufacturing, assembly and serviceKnowledge and experience with formal documentation systems and methods Experience with Microsoft office suiteWe thank all applicants for applying.
