EWM / TM Specialized ABAP Developer

Location: Canada Duration: 12 Months Introduction We are seeking an experienced developer with specialized expertise in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Transportation Management (TM). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with FPM (Floorplan Manager), enhancements, custom reports, modern SAP development tools, and a deep understanding of EWM/TM technical frameworks. This role involves delivering high-quality custom developments, collaborating closely with functional teams, and ensuring seamless integration within complex SAP landscapes. Required Skills & Qualifications 5 years of hands-on development experience, with at least 2–3 years focused on SAP EWM and/or TM. Strong experience working with FPM, enhancement frameworks, and warehouse/transportation processes. Proficiency with Fiori/UI5, CDS, OData, and SAP S/4HANA development best practices. Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional project environments. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with EWM/TM FPM development, including advanced floorplan configurations, feeder classes, and UI logic. Exposure to SAP BTP, OData service optimization, and cloud-based extensibility concepts. Knowledge of integration scenarios between EWM, TM, and core modules (MM, SD, WM, PP). Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks, DevOps tools (Jira, Azure DevOps), and CI/CD pipelines for ABAP. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom applications, enhancements, and reports in SAP EWM and TM using ABAP, FPM, and related technologies. Implement and support user exits, BAdIs, enhancement spots, and other TM/EWM-specific modification techniques. Work closely with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate functional needs into clear technical specifications. Participate in solution design discussions and recommend best-practice technical approaches. Optimize existing ABAP code for performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. Conduct technical unit testing, code reviews, and ensure adherence to SAP development standards. Support defect resolution during integration testing and user acceptance testing.
