From new ideas to new technologies, we are empowered to do this, because our focus is on people We are looking for a dynamic individual to be a part of our Bedford team for the position of Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) - Various Positions.Qualifications:A graduate of an approved CCA/PCW program with NS provincial certification. Nova Scotia CCA Provincial Exam, or CCA Equivalency; or,CCA students who have completed their second mentorshipStudents currently enrolled in LPN or RN programsPSWs, IENs (Internationally Educated Nurse), Health Care Aides or other applicable courseIndividuals who are currently registered with the PLAR program with NSHACurrent Standard First-Aid and CPR requiredPrevious related experience preferredStrong interpersonal, communication, organizational and clinical skillsAble to work flexible hours and shifts including weekends and holidaysAble to maintain regular and consistent attendance Responsibilities:Responsible for providing service to residents in accordance with the individual care planPerforms light housekeeping duties (e.g. tidy room, clean closets, hang clothing)Assists residents with meals and between meal refreshmentsProvides respite change to families and care giversEngages residents/families in leisure/recreational activities on unitFacilitates resident/family participation in recreation programsProvides opportunities for residents/families to interact with the environment in which they live/visit If this exciting opportunity interests you please click “Apply” now.
