If you're reliable, have a clean driving record, and are committed to providing excellent service, we want to hear from you Join us in driving towards a cleaner, greener future.Position: Temporary Landfill Equipment OperatorTerm: Temporary Position (FIFO and Camp provided)Start Date: ImmediatelyEnd Date: May 19, 2026Location: Suncor Firebag, Fort McMurray, AlbertaWork Schedule: 14 on, 14 off; 12-hour day shiftsWhat’s in it for me?Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a competitive wage.Employee and Family Assistance Program: We care about your well-being.Employee Perks: Enjoy discounts provided by Acden and Perkopolis.What I will be doing?Operate various equipment including; Excavator, Wheel Loader, Bulldozer and CompactorComplete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on heavy equipmentInspect and clear equipment of debris, mud, and waste that may get stuck in the tracks, grousers, wheels and rollersComplete leachate level measurements and underdrain samplingCollect and deliver water samples, utilize water pump, and relocate pump and 25lb hoses to various high-level water areasPerform area maintenance duties such as but not limited to; minor repairs to roads/pads, snow removal and litter pick upOperate skid steer and zoom boom to reposition and relocate waste binsReceive and sort metal and wood for disposal, prepare for removal from landfillWhat does Acden need from me? Valid Class Five (5) License is required.Driver’s Abstract demonstrating a pattern of safe and compliant driving behavior is required.Three (3) or more years experience operating heavy equipment such as Excavator, Loader, Bulldozer, and Compactor is required.Must be able to pass the physical demands that are set forth to perform the duties of a Landfill Equipment Operator.Eligible to work on all Oilsands sites within the RMWB/Fort McMurray regionAbility to work efficiently both independently and within a team environmentWhat are the "nice to haves"?Class Three (3) Licence with Air Brake Endorsement is an asset.Previous experience in landfill/recycling operations is an asset.Acden is 100% community-owned by the Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation.
