Leveraging our access to cutting-edge quantitative research, we are equipped to address the most complex business challenges.In this role, you will develop critical front office applications utilizing real-time market data for equity derivatives. Your contributions will directly impact their success.Responsibilities:Build high‑performance applications powered by advanced quantitative research and modelingDevelop tools, reports, and visualizations using modern tech stack such as JavaScript, Python, and C#.NETImplement and maintain distributed systems and microservices that operate at scaleCollaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutionsUtilize Kubernetes and cloud-based technologies for building and deploying applicationsImplement monitoring and logging solutions using the ELK stackQualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in software development, focusing on data-intensive applicationsProficiency in multiple programming languages (JavaScript, Python, C#)Strong web development experience with UX design principlesExperience with APIs, microservices architecture, distributed systems, messaging queues, and cloud-based deploymentsExpertise in virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systemsExperience with CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab, Jenkins)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsSolid understanding of equity derivatives and financial modelsIf you are a passionate software engineer ready to take on new challenges in the fast-paced world of trading, we want to hear from you Apply today to join our dynamic team at BMO Global Markets.Please note the base salary for this role is $120,000 CAD.Salary:Pay Type: SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure.
