Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job DescriptionThis position will report to the Manager, Professional Practitioner, and works with the clinical services manager.Accountabilities:Carry out assigned tasks under the direction of the physiotherapists and occupational therapists and provide a variety of patient support servicesAdministrative tasks, stocking supplies, equipment inventory and cleaning/maintenance and other tasks as assignedWork with the patients/families and team to actively help rehabilitate each patient to achieve his/her maximum functional level through planned therapeutic programsParticipate in patient care team meetings, discipline-specific meetings, special projects as assigned and supervision of studentsQualificationsTwo year Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant certification from a recognized Canadian community college (required to have dual training as an occupational therapy assistant/physiotherapy assistant)Preference will be given to candidates with two years recent clinical experience in adult physical medicine including rehab and geriatricsAbility to speak, read and write the English languageExcellent communication and interpersonal skills requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent time management and organizational skills requiredDemonstrated ability to prioritize responsibilities and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervisionGood critical thinking and problem-solving skills requiredPhysical ability to do job duties as assigned; demonstrated knowledge of body mechanics to prevent musculoskeletal injuriesDemonstrated commitment to continuing educationProven attendance and work recordMay be required to travel between and work at all Osler sitesMust demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and CollaborationAdditional InformationHours: Currently Days/Evenings including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)Salary: Minimum: $33.44 per hour Maximum: $36.18 per hourInternal application deadline: January 16, 2026Posted: December 31, 2025Applications are open for external candidates. #LI-CA1Osler values inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
