CVHNS's mandate spans the continuum of care and includes development and dissemination of provincial standards and service delivery models, knowledge translation, monitoring and surveillance of process and outcomes of cardiovascular care, and partnerships to improve local health and care.Reporting to and under the direction of the Manager, Health Information Services, Coding & Abstracting and /or designate, the CVHNS Abstractor / Health Record Technician is responsible for the accurate identification, interpretation and recording of data from inpatient charts with appropriate cardiovascular diagnoses. These data form the basis for provincial monitoring and surveillance of cardiovascular disease.
