Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist Note: The ideal candidate will have bilingual capabilities. Failing this, a minimum requirement is proficiency in French.The Quality Assurance group develops and maintains a world-class Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the conformity of deliverables to customers and promotes continuous improvement. As a Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist at Company, your role will be to ensure that quality standards are met, that company norms are maintained, and that the integrity of products is preserved on the hardware used in flight training devices.AdvantagesPosition Time Type : Full TimeDoes the position allow for the worker to be virtual/remote?: No (must be on-site)Will this resource require site access? If Yes, a Control Goods Certificate will be required. : YesResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities :As a Hardware Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for the overall conformity and effectiveness of the manufacturing process (incoming product inspection, final inspection, the complete manufacturing cycle including product validations and associated processes).Execute the complete audit process cycle—plan an audit, conduct an audit, report/communicate the results, and issue corrective actions if necessary. The types of audits primarily concern internal processes (manufacturing, regulation, internal policies) as well as external/supplier processes (QMS, design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, inspection).Ensure product compliance with design requirements based on a quality plan—develop inspection and test standards, establish control points, supervise the inspection process, and process non-conformities through resolution plans.Ensure the maintenance of manufacturing requirements—review, assign responsibility, and determine the material disposition of a non-conformity; conduct investigations to determine root causes and necessary corrective actions for material issues; update/develop the standards used to accept/reject parts; set up quality clinics.Lead MRB (Material Review Board) meetings and provide necessary recommendations.Execute quality audits in the Production area.Validation and verification of manufacturing processes as well as qualification techniques.Deployment of production measures to generate continuous improvement projects.Identify opportunities for improvement—analyze data to find recurring issues using problem-solving tools (Ishikawa/Pareto/control charts, etc.); organize product/process improvement sessions.QualificationsRequirements:D.E.C. (Diploma of College Studies) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or technical training with equivalent experience).5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience in internal and external (supplier) auditing required.Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and its quality management principles.Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to mechanical or electrical products (welding, plating, painting, machining, sheet metal, mechanical/electrical assembly, PCB assembly, cable assembly).Bilingual (French and English).Excellent ability to communicate both orally and in writing.Top 3 Must-Have Skills#Skill TitleKey Components:1. Technical Knowledge in Electricity- Understanding of electrical schematics, standards (e.g., IEC, CSA, UL), and the function of components (transformers, relays, circuit breakers, etc.). Ability to identify defects or non-conformities in electrical products or installations.2. Mastery of Quality Tools and Methods- Use of tools such as audits, FMEA, 8D, cause-and-effect diagrams, and SPC. Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 if automotive, etc.). Drafting and follow-up of control plans, procedures, and non-conformance reports.3. Analytical Mindset and Problem Solving- Ability to analyze the root causes of defects and propose corrective and preventive actions.
