For more information, visit .Position Overview:The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, supporting daily operations, developing new manufacturing methods, and leading initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency within the Machine Shop.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day manufacturing process issues in Assembly and MachiningCollaborate with Engineering and Quality Assurance to ensure components meet design specificationsDesign CNC tooling, fixturing, gauges, and testing equipmentDevelop and optimize CNC programs for new and existing productsImplement new manufacturing processes to support product launches, quality improvement, cost reduction, and capacity expansionIdentify and propose capital equipment purchases; prepare Capital Purchase RequestsCreate and maintain shop floor work instructions and assist in training new hourly employeesSupport the Maintenance Department in resolving issues related to capital equipmentParticipate in annual budget planning to identify and project cost-saving opportunitiesIdentify and introduce new technologies to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costsConduct time studies and develop labor standardsCreate, implement, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and RoutersTrack departmental production metrics and assembly efficiencies on a weekly basisDesign and implement plant layout changes to optimize productivityInvestigate product complaints, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actionsMaintain a log of tooling and fixturingLead and participate in Kaizen and other continuous improvement eventsQualifications:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentSkills:Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specificationsStrong leadership and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and lead cross-functional teamsProficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) and CAD software (SolidWorks)Experience:Minimum of 5 years in a Manufacturing Engineering roleHands-on experience in machining and mechanical assembly processesSkilled in fixture and tooling design for both assembly and CNC applicationsExperience programming CNC equipment with Fanuc and Okuma controls is a strong assetExposure to Lean Manufacturing principles, including direct involvement in lean implementation and Kaizen eventsFamiliarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001:2015 or equivalentSalary:$75k+ (Based on experience)Victaulic is proud to be an
