WPG - Linehaul Dispatcher Trainee (Entry Level)

Location: Winnipeg TerminalSchedule: Monday - Friday (days, afternoons & potential over nights)Reports To: Manager and Supervisor of Linehaul Gardewine is a Manitoba-based transportation company with terminals across Canada and a strong history dating back to the 1950s. Our success is built on our people, and safety is always our top priority. We are currently hiring a Linehaul Dispatch Trainee to join our Winnipeg Terminal team. Reporting to the Manager and Supervisor of Linehaul, this role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or advance their career in the transportation industry. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Plan and coordinate drivers and equipment for linehaul operations Communicate with drivers, terminals, and dock personnel Review previous shift activities and report irregularities Confirm bookings, manifests, and Bills of Lading Respond to phone inquiries and resolve operational issues Track incident reports and assist with follow-up Coordinate maintenance and assist with accident response when required Participate in safety initiatives Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: 1–2 years of related experience is an asset Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, computerized office environment Excellent organizational and time-management skills Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Experience with linehaul operations or freight handling is an asset Strong computer and telephone skills Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting and continuous computer and telephone use What We Offer: Stable, full-time employment Extended health benefits for you and your family Educational support Cost-of-living increases Profit-sharing program Life and disability insurance Retirement programs (matched pension, RRSP, stock options) Career growth opportunities within Gardewine and the Mullen Group Apply by:February 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Gardewine is an equal opportunity employer.
